In the coming weeks the tournament committee undertakes the onerous task of sorting organising the smooth execution of the first major event of the year – The Inter Firms Tournament.
Once again, the club is indebted to Caulfield’s Supervalu of Loughboy who generously sponsor the event. As in other years, this is a mixed doubles team event in a number of grades. This year’s tournament commenced on Monday, May 11 and continues until finals day Saturday, May 23.

The club is also hosting a lavish social programme in association with the event. The barbecue this Friday(tonight ), May 15 has become a traditional constituent of the tournament and, as always, has proved to be popular. Patrons should note that the cost for this event is included in the entry fee, and there will be live music on the night. It’s always a great night in the clubhouse in Archersfield and all competitors are welcome.
Interested parties are welcome to view proceedings in the club in Archersfield each evening from 5.30pm where some competitive and social tennis is guaranteed over the coming fortnight. There is food available all week for enjoyment while spectating.
