Tumbling Dice hit Kytelers for some old time rock’n roll

Kytelers Inn on Kieran Street is quickly becoming associated with the hosting of some great live music in recent months and this month is no different.

The Top Bar in Kyteler's Inn is the place to be this Friday May 8, where legendary band, Tumbling Dice will take to the stage for a rockin’ good gig.

“We’ll give it to them straight with songs that will get your feet tapping and get the women out shakin’ their asses. There’s something there for everyone in the music of the Rolling Stones,” was how one band member described their gigs recently.

“We’d all shared a similar music experience. Our pedigree was good and now is the time to play some kick ass rock ‘n’ roll.”

The band consists of Barry Woods who continues to play guitar all over Ireland and the UK. He knows the complacency that has crept in to so many players. This time he believes that he has created something new and the passion remains.

John Corcoran on drums has lost none of his fervour – it’s what he does best and he is the engine of Tumbling Dice. He has stripped down his drum kit to the essentials and is ready to rock ‘n’ roll.

Seamus Palka on bass came over to Ireland to play jazz. His instinctive understanding of melody and smooth playing was to add the oil slick to the rock and roll show.

‘Ravin Jim Siney’ was bored with the stagnation that had crept into bands touring the club circuit. This outfit was going to give ‘em good honest “Screaming-down-the-line rock and roll”.

The boys hit Kytelers on Friday night (tonight ) and are well worth a visit.

The Top Bar in Kytelers is synonymous with excellent live music and this weekend should not disappoint.

Tickets available on the door.
