The organisers of Ireland’s largest amateur five-day cycling event are calling on the people of Kilkenny to come out and support over 150 cyclists from all over Europe and Ireland when they pass through Kilkenny City May 10 as part of the Kellogg’s Tour of Ireland Cycle Challenge.
The tour will take the riders through the four provinces of Ireland starting off in Lisburn, County Down and travelling through Derry city, Sligo town, Galway city and Kilkenny city before finishing in Barretstown, County Kildare. The event is a non-competitive challenge whereby each participant competes against the elements and his/her own levels of fitness and endurance.
