Nurses in Kilkenny who fancy sunnier climes and sandy beaches are being encouraged to apply for jobs at an Australian hospital.
The psychiatric nursing positions are available for those considering a life change or a working holiday in the sunshine state of New South Wales.
This unique joint initiative will not only see the diverse clinical needs of patients cared for in Australia but will also see the creation of much- needed jobs for nurses in Kilkenny.
Galway-based recruitment firm ICE Group has been appointed by the New South Wales Department of Health to recruit 150 Irish registered nurses for the new Forensic Hospital in Sydney.
Interviews for the nursing jobs are taking place at end of next month.
