Cross-genre music night in Richardson’s

A night of cross-genre, original music from three different bands, from three Irish cities, takes place upstairs in Richardson’s, Eyre Square, this Friday at 9pm.

The night will feature Red Angle Riot, Penny Arcade, and i,x,o.

Dublin’s Red Angle Riot features former members of The Wesleys, Woodrow, Computers That Breed, The Discarded Retarded, and The Worthwhile Experience. The quartet play tricky, but melodic post rock.

I,x,o is a Kilkenny based project created by David Thompson and Jane Murphy and formerly known as ‘i’ and ‘us’. They are currently working on their debut album.

Galway will be represented by Penny Arcade. After a number of years on hiatus, the group has expanded to become a four-piece and they are now exploring electronic music. This will be heard on their more new material, which they will debut at this gig.

Admission is €3.
