The body of a man was recovered from the waters in Ballinasloe on Friday afternoon.
The Sub Aqua Unit of the Gardaí recovered the body of the man, who is not believed to be from the Ballinasloe area, just after lunchtime on Friday shortly after search and rescue efforts by the local Fire Brigade had proven unsuccessful.
Gardaí in Ballinasloe confirmed on Saturday that the death was not being treated as suspicious.
