Acclaimed Irish-act The Guggenheim Grotto will play two shows in The Crane Bar, Sea Road, over the coming weeks, before touring the USA in the New Year.
The band - Kevin May and Mick Lynch - will play The Crane Bar, Sea Road, on Friday November 21 at 9pm and Thursday December 18 at 9pm.
The duo’s second album Happy The Men went straight to No 1 in the American iTunes Folk album chart. Come January, they will play New York, Philadelphia and Cambridge, as part of a tour of the US.
The band are also enjoying critical acclaim. Hotpress praised their mix of “soaring melodies, haunting harmonies, and emotionally intelligent lyrics, their lovingly crafted sound is both completely contemporary and yet somehow timeless.”
