Circus project Hanging Out in Black Box

Hanging Out is a production under the young ensemble scheme which has been introduced by the Arts Council this year and will debut in the Black Box on November 20.

The Galway Community Circus - An Sorcas Beag, the first youth circus in the Republic, and Fidget Feet, one of the leading aerial dance companies in Ireland, have joined forces to work with an ensemble of 18 young people from Galway. During the process all cast members have tasks in the areas of advertising, press, costume and light design. The choreography and the 'look’ of the show also very much is based on their ideas.

The scheme is designed to encourage young people to take active part in producing a show.

The show is a unique experience for everybody and all ticket office proceeds will go towards rebuilding the Outreach Unit of the Galway Community Circus, which was destroyed in August this year.

Donations can also be made to AIB University Branch Galway, Account name: Galway Circus Project ltd. Sort Code: 93-74-36 Account no: 12658156.

Hanging Out is on for one night only on November 20 at 8pm in the Black Box Theatre. Tickets are €8 concession and €12 full price and can be booked and purchased from the Town Hall Theatre.
