São Paulo

An intense cultural experience awaits you as you descend on São Paulo, the largest city in Brazil and one of the richest cities in the world. Known for its hard-working citizens who are just as devoted to partying as they are to business, the citizens of São Paulo work hard and play harder in a city that doesn’t seem to sleep most of the time.

In the most industrious and cosmopolitan city in Brazil a little footwork is needed to see the sights, including museums on every subject imaginable and a historical centre that stretches to include breathtaking architecture and expansive greenery. Organised walking tours are also available with a number of tour companies in the city.

Don’t forget to check out one of the city’s three sky-high observation decks, Banespa Tower, Restaurant Skye, or the São Paulo Jockey Club for amazing views of the city and beyond from a bird’s-eye view.

For those travelling with children a day spent at the São Paulo zoo or in one of the city’s half-dozen theme parks is a must.

Place to see: São Paulo Gay Pride parade. With around three million people arriving, both gay and straight, each year, it is the world’s largest gay pride parade and one hell of a party.

Place to be seen: Hotel Unique. Some of the city’s hottest bars, as well as rooms with disappearing walls, are just part of the reason why celebs like 50 Cent and the members of Keane, like to be put up in this plush spot.

Place not to miss: Love City. Not only is this nightclub considered the trendiest of trendy in São Paulo but if you can stick it out breakfast is included in your cover charge around 5am.
