It has finally happened. My eyeshadow prayers have been answered.
Smashbox cosmetics (one of my favourite companies for eye make-up ) has expanded and updated its already incredible single eyeshadow line by introducing 32 new “eye-popping” shades to its collection. From shimmery pinks to matte caramels, these paraben-free (yes, those are those icky chemicals used as preservatives in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries ), as well as fragrance-free pots are easy to apply, ultra blendable colours that are perfect for mixing and matching as you please because they were designed for the maximum versatility desired by the world’s most renowned make-up artists. And their super smooth application means they are perfect for layering, lining, smudging, shading, and contouring to your heart’s content, letting you create any look you want from shimmery sheen to smoulderingly smoky.
My best tip? Start by using a light shade (like Oyster, a pale gold colour with pearl shimmer ) as a base, then a darker shade (like Minx, a taupe brown with a bronze shimmer ) in the crease, and an even darker shade (like the intense black colour, Envy ) as a liner by running it along the lashline. Amazingly easy to apply, this is a brilliant way to create a simple daytime look that can easily be turned into a sexy nighttime look with just a little darkening of the original application. And the tiny single colour tubs are the perfect size for every purse, big or small, meaning you will literally never have to go without.
