The Volvo Ocean Race is off and running and so is Galway’s efforts to prepare for the big race.
The first of the dockland’s new developments opened on Friday - a petrol station.
Kearney’s Centra and Texaco Service Station on the Docks is promising to provide 30 new jobs for the city.
The station will be located adjacent to MÓR Oil and The Harbour Hotel.
Alan Kearney of the station said, “We are delighted to have come to the end of the building stage and look forward to providing a high quality service to our customers. Many special features have been added to the service station including our extensive bakery and deli range providing hot snacks all day long.”
