A Carlow teenager already serving a four-month sentence was handed another two-month sentence at a special sitting of Carlow District Court this week.
Michael Corr (19 ), 104 Riverview Close, who is currently serving a prison sentence of four months for assault, was before the court on eight charges.
The charges, relating to an incident on Burrin Street on October 12, 2007 consisted of two section six public-order charges of threatening behaviour, two section eight public order charges of failing to comply with a garda, a section four public-order charge of being intoxicated in public and two assault charges.
Judge David Anderson sentenced Mr Corr to two months in prison for one of the assault charges, taking all the other charges into consideration.
The two-month sentence will be served concurrent with his four-month sentence.
