As we approach the end of summer according to the calendar we take a look at where all Carlow GAA clubs are at this point in time, in both the championship and league.
In the JV Kitchens, minor football championship
Fourteen clubs entered: Eire Og, Tinryland, Clonmore, and Naomh Eoin-Miseal, are in the quarter-final of the championship. Slaney Rangers, Rathvilly, O’Hanrahans, Burrin Rangers, Fenagh, Michael Davitts, and Palatine, will play in round three with four winners to meet the other four already in the quarter-finals.
Kildavin-Clonegal, St Andrews, Mount Leinster Rangers, will contest the B Championship.
The Junior Football ‘A’ Championship is at semi-final stage
Preliminary rounds:
1 Old Leighlin 2-11, Palatine 2-6; 2 Rathvilly 3-25 , Ballinabranna 1-2;
Quarter-finals:
(2 ) Rathvilly 1-10, O’Hanrahans 1-9; Mount Leinster Rangers 0-11, Milford 1-8; (draw ), Tinryland 3-11, Kildavin-Clonegal 0-4; (1 ) Old Leighlin 3-22, St Patrick’s 1-6.
Semi-finals: Rathvilly v Mount Leinster Rangers/ Milford; Old Leighlin v Tinryland.
The Top Oil under-21 Football championship ‘A’ and ‘B’ has yet to commence.
The Top Oil under-21 Hurling championship has yet to commence.
