Carlow hurlers set for the Big Apple

“Who wants to be a Thousandaire” the Talbot Hotel, on November 27.

To reward the players and management for their outstanding achievement in winning the Christy Ring Cup and selfless commitment it was decided to send the hurling panel to New York for a week long holiday. After an excess of 150 training sessions and matches this was Carlow’s first major title since 1992.

“Who wants to be a Thousandaire” which will take place on November 27 in the Talbot Hotel will help with the players holiday fund. For people interested in being a sponsor on the night the cost is €200, for this you will receive two free tickets, a cheese and wine reception and advertising on the night. Non sponsor tickets for the night are on sale at a cost of €15 each which gives you the opportunity to go on stage and take part and be in with a chance to win €1,000.

Medal presentations

The presentation of the Christy Ring medals will take place at the hurlers dinner dance in the Talbot Hotel on Saturday, November 2 and tickets are available to the public for €25.
