LADIES Lady Captain’s Day – Our popular Lady Captain Nuala Mahon was bereaved recently by the death of her mother Mrs. Hannah Burns, Sneem, Co. Kerry. Our sympathy to her despite her bereavement Nuala decided to go ahead with Lady Captains Days. Day 1 on Tues the sun shone and great scores were notched up in preparation for Sun. The remainder of the week was wet and windy but on Sun the sun shone on Comer. Again great scores were achieved with Emer Foley (8 ) recording a fantastic net score of 70, having had 72 on Tues. Marie Gannon (27 ) came close behind having a total of 143 net. Sixty played in total. The day was only half over. All the ladies were then treated to beautiful food and there was a scramble later on. Music on the night was supplied by the ever popular Jimmy Byrne & Martin Lacey which was followed by a great sing song. Well done to all the winners and well done to Nuala on her great success.
