Local councillors have expressed their delight that development works on the Manor House site in the centre of Bagenalstown have recently recommenced.
Speaking at the monthly meeting of Muine Bheag town council Fiannna Fáil Cllr Margaret Cushen said she was delighted to see people back working on the site.
"They are back on the building site and the sooner the work is done the better," added Fine Gael Cllr Denis Foley.
Members were previously concerned about the unsightliness of the site when work on the development had ceased temporarily earlier in the year.
Cathaoirleach Arthur McDonald did, however, express his concern that a wall built around the site was taking up a lot of the footpath. "I am pleased to see the wall and understand that there is plenty of room for pedestrians," replied Cllr Cushen.
