Glenlo Abbey Hotel

A MANOR TO WHICH YOU CAN BECOME ACCUSTOMED...

Dear Guest,

Welcome to our wonderful home at Glenlo Abbey which has been welcoming guests since 1740.

Nestled peacefully on a stunning 138 acre estate on the edge of Ireland’s largest lake, Lough Corrib, the 5* newly refurbished Glenlo Abbey Hotel offers the discerning traveller a warm, personable and luxurious base during their travels to Galway.

The beautiful, rugged and unspoilt natural scenery of Connemara lies right on our doorstep and creates a soft and balanced contrast to the vibrant and eclectic surroundings of life in Galway City. Voted recently as one of the friendliest cities in the world by ‘Travel & Leisure’ magazine, the scene is well and truly set in Glenlo Abbey to offer the opportunity for enchanting memories to be created.

To further enhance your experience we have recently re-developed our 9 Hole Championship Golf course designed by Christy O'Connor Jnr. Golf lessons on a one to one basis with our Golf Professional Gary Madden are both fun and informative and are complemented by the superior facilities of our 21 bay driving range.

Fishing on Lough Corrib with our Ghillie, Falconry and Archery in the Walled Garden and private guided tours to the Cliffs of Moher, Kylemore Abbey or the Aran Islands are just some of the activities to bring alive your sense of wonderment and re-energise you on your adventure.

For those looking to celebrate a special occasion, Glenlo Abbey has a myriad of options to create long lasting memories for all involved. Our newly refurbished luxurious Corrib Banqueting Suite, with views overlooking the grounds and Lough Corrib, can transform an ordinary day into an extraordinary event for wedding couples to cherish forever. Executive meetings, off-site visits and team building activities are particularly popular for companies looking for fresh air to bring fresh thinking to their culture.

Finally our ‘piece de resistance’ comes in the form of our ‘Pullman Restaurant’, two former carriages that once served on the Orient Express. A stay in Glenlo Abbey would not be complete without savouring our two AA rosette awarded fine dining experience in one of Ireland’s most unique and historic settings.

We look forward to welcoming you to our home and to creating lasting memories until you visit again.

Warm Regards
