Victor's Dung comes to the Linenhall

Seamus O’Rourke brings his hugely popular play Victor’s Dung (The Whole Story ) to the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar on Thursday December 10 at 8pm. Victor’s Dung is the comic tale of Victor Maguire, a crude, vulgar, un-PC Cavan farmer who gets a surprise one Friday morning with the news that he has not long to live.

His existence and the existence of a god are brought into question as Victor cartwheels into memory, fantasy, poetry, despair and eventually love… love for his deceased wife Josie, his dog, his rooster, his good friend Fr Johnny, his eccentric neighbours, but most of all his rural life. Actor and author of the play Seamus O’Rourke once again takes on the role of Victor on his own little farm with its own little dung heap and a variety of animals and characters portrayed by two very special actors, Tommy Sharkey and Charles McGuinness. Originally a one-man play with more than 130 performances, rave reviews, and standing ovations, Victor’s Dung has now been developed and redesigned into a full theatrical production.

Victor’s Dung (The Whole Story ) is at the Linenhall Arts Centre on Thursday December 10 at 8pm. Booking is advised by calling (094 ) 9023733 or online booking at www.thelinenhall.com
