A 37-year-old Galway man has admitted sexually assaulting a young boy for more than two years at a house on the west of the city and will now face a sentencing hearing in early December.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Galway Circuit Criminal Court last Tuesday where he was arraigned and pleaded guilty to the charge of sexually assaulting a boy between January 1, 2005, and June 1, 2007 at an address in the city, contrary to Section 2 of the Criminal Law (Rape) Act.
