Three women go Over The Edge

Ingrid Casey, Barbara Dunne, and Leah Keane to read at Galway City Library

THE WRITERS Ingrid Casey, Barbara Dunne, and Leah Keane will read from their work at the Over The Edge: Open Reading in the Galway City Library on Thursday September 26 at 6.30pm.

Dunne is a visual artist, blogger (barbaradunneblog.wordpress.com ), poet, and short story writer. Her reviews appear in Circa arts magazine she is a member of the Oughterard Writers Group. She is currently working on fiction projects and a first collection of poetry.

Casey's debut collection of poetry, Mandible (Onslaught Press, 2018 ) was described by poet Jessica Traynor as a "vital addition to Irish poetry".’ This year she also produced a groundbreaking short documentary on homeless families, www.throughthecracks.ie

Keane studied poetry under Alvy Carragher, and was longlisted for the 2017 Over The Edge New Writer of the Year competition. Her work has been published in Poetry Ireland Review and Skylight 47.

The MC will be Susan Millar DuMars. There will be an open-mic after the featured readers. New readers are especially welcome. The shortlist for this year’s Over The Edge New Writer of the Year competition will also be announced. Admission is free.
