Peter Regan - Fantastique!

Acclaimed Irish concert pianist Peter Regan to make his Galway debut

HE HAS played New York's Carnegie Hall, Toronto's The Four Seasons Performing Arts Centre; as well as venues in Madrid, Salzburg, and Dublin, but he has never played Galway - until now.

Acclaimed Irish concert pianist Peter Regan will play the Town Hall Theatre on Friday July 5 at 8pm, in a concert entitled Fantastique! The programme will include Beethoven's Les Adieux, Chopin’s nocturnes, and Franck’s majestic Prelude, Chorale and Fugue, as well as works by Liszt and Bach.

Regan is from Ballyleague, County Roscommon, and is currently studying at the Royal College of Music in London. He has toured internationally, and enjoyed praise from the critics. Michael Sherwin, of the New York based The Epoch Times, said of one of the Irishman's concerts: “Regan’s interpretation was assertive, large-scale, and tonally powerful…the audience listened in hypnotic, rapt silence.”

Tickets are available from the Town Hall (091 - 569777, www.tht.ie ).
