Poet Mark Roper to headline the next Over The Edge: Open Reading

THE WRITERS Mark Roper, Aelmuire Mullaney, and Anne Donnellan, will be the featured readers at the next Over The Edge: Open Reading in the Galway City Library on Thursday March 28 at 6.30pm.

Mark Roper has written poetry, works of travel/geography, and opera. His collections, Bindweed (2017 ) and A Gather of Shadow (2012 ) were shortlisted for The Irish Times Poetry Now Award; with photographer Paddy Dwan, he has published three books, most recently Comeragh: Mountain, Coum, River, Rumour; and written the librettos for two operas composed by Eric Sweeney.

Poems by the County Clare born Anne Donnellan have been published in ROPES, A New Ulster, and The Linnet’s Wings. She was shortlisted in the Poems for Patience Competition 2018. Aelmuire Mullaney was born in Dublin and now lives in Moycullen. She writes fiction.

There will be an open-mic after the featured readers. New readers are welcome. The MC will be Susan Millar DuMars. Admission is free.
