Galway city centre is bursting at the seams with properties for auction this autumn

O’Donnellan & Joyce has just launched its Wild Atlantic Way autumn auction, set for Thursday September 28. The first open viewings commenced at the weekend and property viewings around Galway city were particularly busy despite the weather. O’Donnellan & Joyce will have more than 70 properties for sale on the day. The auction will commence at 12 noon in Harbour Hotel, New Dock Road, Galway, with registration open from 11am.

O’Donnellan & Joyce recorded the highest volume for sales in 2016

O’Donnellan & Joyce reports that 2016 was its most successful year to date regarding the volume of sales since the company opened its office in 1982. The Galway city centre estate agent reports that it sold close to 650 residential and commercial properties in 2016 by private treaty and public auction. Colm O’Donnellan, one of the principal partners of O’Donnellan & Joyce, said: “Prices are still about 35 per cent below the peak of the market of 2007 and the number of transactions recorded in 2016 is well in excess of anything recorded since the slump.”

O’Donnellan & Joyce auctioneers, as the old saying goes, is keeping the good wine till last with more than 60 properties going under the hammer in its Wild Atlantic Way summer all day auction. Colm O’Donnellan of O’Donnellan & Joyce said this auction, which will be held on July 22 in the Harbour Hotel, Galway, is the fourth Wild Atlantic Way property auction of 2016.
