Shannon Airport has announced an additional 200,000 seats available on select routes from the airport this summer. Shannon Airport had a strong growth surge in 2023 with 1.958 million passengers welcomed to the airport, a 29 per cent increase on 2022 activity. This strong performance saw the airport achieve its highest passenger numbers since 2009 , 14 years ago, with growth in air services across all markets.

Shannon Airport is gearing up for a busy Christmas with passenger numbers expected to soar over the festive season. Over 121,000 passengers are expected to be welcomed at the airport during the Christmas holiday period, an 18% surge when compared to the same period last year which saw 75,000 travelling through the airport.
