The dulcet tones of Midwest Radio presenter Tommy Marren headed the bill at the Network Mayo meeting on Monday, March 4, at the Harlequin Hotel, Castlebar. Ably assisted by advertising executive Orla Seery the pair gave a fascinating insight into the world of local radio.
Entitled “Demystifying the Media, Part 2”, this event certainly lived up to its name. Tommy Marren and Orla Seery were tremendously informative and enthusiastic about radio. All those who attended were entertained, informed and animated in turn.
“It’s vital for our members to understand the opportunities and options available in local media here in Mayo,” said Caroline Gordon, president of Network Mayo. “Tommy and Orla combined to give an informative and educational presentation which was of enormous benefit to all present.”
Upcoming events for Network Mayo include the AGM on Thursday, March 21, followed by a social evening at Season’s Restaurant at Mulroy’s on Main Street, Castlebar. All are welcome. In April there will be a collaborative with Mayo County Enterprise Board, themed around the supports available to all businesses. Details will be confirmed shortly.
