Mayo entrepreneur to speak at gala Manchester function

The founder and CEO of Mayotv.ie and Irishtv.ie Pierce O’Reilly has been invited to address a prestigious gala function in Manchester. The Westport native and former RTÉ broadcaster and journalist has developed Mayotv.ie and Irishtv.ie into one of Ireland’s fastest growing international TV platforms with new offices opened in Ulster and London and broadcast partnerships established with major UK, American, and Asian TV networks in the past six months.

“Pierce is highly regarded for his innovation in setting up Mayotv.ie and Irishtv.ie at home and abroad and we are thrilled that he has accepted our invitation to be guest speaker at our gala function in Manchester. It is great to see a Mayo native developing a new global media platform with such passion and pride,” commented Marcella Wilkinson, Mayo Association of Manchester president. Mayotv.ie and Irishtv.ie have attracted international attention from broadcasters across the globe over the past year with their flagship programme Out & About in Ireland, which is broadcast currently on Sky TV, channel 191 every Thursday at 9pm and online at www.irishtv.ie, now set to be also broadcast on a number of high profile international TV channels in America, Asia, and across Europe.

“It is a great honour for me to be invited to Manchester to speak at this gala function. Mayotv.ie and Irishtv.ie were established with the aim of connecting Irish people all over the globe. It is about telling people’s stories, their struggles and successes, with great honesty and integrity. It is all about giving people, communities, and businesses in Ireland access to an affordable and accessible global TV platform. Mayotv.ie and Irishtv.ie are focused on developing a sustainable, creative, media sector for independent TV producers and businesses in Ireland by offering them access to a professional global TV platform,” commented O’Reilly
