Casey’s Centra of Castlebar received the National Lottery Retail Store award at the C-Store Awards, hosted in Dublin recently by leading retail industry magazine ShelfLife.
The ShelfLife C-Store Award, now in its 12th year, was set up to acknowledge stores and individuals that set the highest standards for the retail industry. Of all the ShelfLife awards presented on the night, Centra stores across the country secured a total of 10 awards.
In winning this title, Casey’s fought off stiff competition from stores throughout Ireland. The award was adjudicated by independent judges on numerous conditions, some of which included accurate instore point of sale activation and optimal staff participation.
Store owner Gerry Casey acknowledged that a lot of emphasis was placed on their lottery service to customers throughout 2012 and paid tribute to his team. “It is the professional and dedicated approach that singled out our store and having such good people here on our team is the key to our success,” he stated.
