Claremorris company Watch Tower Designs, David Keane and Associates, was celebrating success again last week after it was announced it had won the Customer Service Award for the services sector in the prestigious Mayo Business Awards.
This is the third year in a row that the Claremorris company has been nominated for the awards final, and the fourth year for the company overall, as it was shortlisted for the Mayo Business Awards in 2008, 2007, and 2004.
Not surprisingly, it is also the first time in the history of the Mayo Business Awards that a company has succeeded in being shortlisted as one of the three finalists in a particular category for the fourth time overall, and the first time this award been bestowed on a Claremorris company.
The business awards are recognised as the business event of the year.
Watch Tower Designs is a well known “one stop shop” multidisciplinary firm providing architectural, engineering, design, and planning consultancy to the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. It also acts as an insurance public loss assessor for the general public and commercial sector in the event of a person or business suffering any type of loss or damage to a home or business through fire, chimney fires, floods, accident, or burst pipes, etc. Staff prepare, present, and negotiate your claim on your behalf to the insurance company.
Speaking after winning the award David Keane commented: “We were absolutely delighted and honoured to win this most special award, and we were thrilled to have been selected again as a finalist for the third year in a row. Just being selected as a finalist is a testimony of our continuing commitment to offer a first class customer service, and to win the overall title of Best Customer Service reinforces and acknowledges our continuing successes in this area.” WTD specialises in a number of areas such as once-off housing, housing developments, commercial developments, refurbishment projects, industrial developments, and community and childcare facilities, as well as dispute resolution.
In residential projects, especially one-off housing, Watch Tower Designs take a particular environment conscious building approach to unique designs, with sustainable design being at the forefront of each project.
“As well as designing energy conscious buildings to a high standard, WTD are of course very conscious these days of passing on as much savings to our clients as possible. There are all sorts of buzz words going around these days with terms such as ‘cost consciousness’ to ‘value engineering’ being bandied about, we prefer to keep it simple and we call it old fashioned value for money,” said Keane.
According to Keane WTD can guarantee savings of nearly €20,000 for every €100,000 proposed to be spent in the construction of a typical family home or commercial development, without any reduction in quality.
