The Small Firms Association has welcomed the Government’s latest support measure designed to see small businesses through the ongoing Covid crisis.
Sven Spollen-Behrens, Director of the Small Firms Association, said: "The Government has listened to the feedback that we have provided and responded to the needs of small business owners in the supply chain who have lost revenue and sales but have been excluded from the Covid Restrictions Support Scheme or do not qualify for other business supports.
"We urge the Government to finalise the details of the COVID-19 Business Aid Scheme as soon as possible to ensure that no firm misses out on this new scheme. We press the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment to work closely with the grant-handling agency to get these funds out to business in a fast and timely manner.
"The latest announcement is an important step in helping wholesalers, suppliers, caterers, office-based businesses and events companies survive lockdown."
