Melissa Walsh is the business owner of MW Design, Print & Signs, located at Lakeside Retail Park, Claremorris. Melissa established her award-winning design, print and signs business in 2003, now celebrating 17 Years in business.
Melissa offers a bespoke service with innovative designs and high quality printing, signs and display solutions. MW Design, Print and Signs offers an extensive product range including business stationary, brochures and all general printing to large format signs, displays, labels, vehicle graphics, vehicle wraps, shopfronts and window graphics. MW Design, Print & Signs currently employs nine full-time staff and three sign fitters.
In 2019 MW Design, Print & Signs won 'Micro Business Award' at the Mayo business awards. The company was also awarded a Business All-Star Accreditation Award in 2019.
This is an independently verified standard mark for indigenous businesses and leaders in business. Not only was MW Design, Print & Signs awarded a Business All Star award, but Melissa was also recognised as a ‘Thought Leader’ in business. Melissa is also currently studying part-time in NUIG to complete a three years MSc in Business Leadership Development, 2019 – 2022, while running her business.
Melissa currently holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Graphic, Product and Interactive Design from University of Ulster and a National Diploma in Industrial Design from Institute of Technology, Sligo.
In 2005 and 2008 Melissa received awards for young entrepreneur of the year regionally and nationally. In 2009 Melissa received a national ‘givers gain award’ for her achievements in BNI (Business Networking International ) Ireland.
