BURLESQUE PERFORMERS from across the world will strut their stuff on Galway's stages when the second Galway Burlesque Festival returns to the city from Friday May 26 to Sunday 28.
Produced by hoop dancer and burlesque performer, Shir Madness, and producer, promoter, DJ, and MC, Scarlett Nymph, the festival will have two days of shows, an art class, and workshops.
The festival begins with the Rising Star Of The West for emerging new burlesque talent, and feature performers from Ireland, Britain, Japan, Austria, Norway, and France. Hosted by the brilliant drag king Slick O', it takes place in The Loft, Seven, on Friday 26 at 8.30pm. Admission is €13/10.
The festival gala show takes place in the Town Hall Theatre on Saturday 27 at 8.30pm. Hosted by Sadie O'Sapphic, it will feature a range of established burlesque performers including Norway's Fifi Von Tassel, 'boy'lesque performer Lykan Animal, and Galway's own Harley Sparks.
There will be workshops across the weekend, while Dr Sketchy's Anti-Art School takes place in Electric, Abbeygate Street, on Sunday May 28, from 3pm to 6pm. Admission is €15/12. For more see www.galwayburlesquefestival.com
