BPW Galway (Galway and District Business and Professional Women’s Club ) will see its new programme of events for 2009 launched by incoming president Johanna Downes in The Ardilaun hotel on Wednesday next January 28.
The event which commences at 6.30 is an opportunity for local business and professional women who are interested in joining this active club to go along and meet current BPW members while also listening to presentations from Breda Ryan (Founder member of BPW Galway ) and Deirdre Ni Chathmhaoil (director of Ri Na Mara and BPW Business Woman of the Year 2006 ) regarding the experiences they have gained from being part of the club and will highlight the benefits of getting involved with BPW Galway.
Also attending the event will be BPW national president, Moyra McMahon, who will also address the attendees and will give a background to the organisation while also highlighting the work carried out by BPW Internationally – the organisation has become one of the most influential international networks of business and professional women with affiliates in 80 countries in five continents.
The major priority for BPW worldwide has always been the empowerment of women so that they can obtain economic independence, take control of their lives and fully participate in the society in which they live, thus improving their status and their security. The ethos of BPW continues to be ‘to share, educate and give a voice’.
BPW Galway is inviting all to go along and pick up a new members pack on arrival and complete the new members registration form included to become a member.
