Two Welsh choirs to raise funds for Galway Hospice

Two memorial Concerts by two Welsh choirs will be held in Barna Church on Tuesday next October 28 and in St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church on Wednesday October 29 in aid of Galway Hospice.

Côr Meibion Ardudwy (male choir ) programme is varied and includes folk songs, songs from musicals, classical songs, songs gathered from different countries and as the choirs are Welsh, a few hymn tunes, all of which will be sung with much gusto and enthusiasm. They also include some Irish songs in their repertoire. The choir boasts as many as ten soloists in their midst so a varied programme is guaranteed.

Cana-Mi-Gei is a ladies choir who are based in the Harlech/Porthmadog area. They sing an eclectic mix of modern and traditional songs. They have recently won the prestigious Stamford Cup at a choir competition in Chester.

Admission is €10 per person with children under 12 years are free. Tickets are available from Galway Hospice on 091 770868, OMG at Zhivago on 091 509960 and at the door on both nights.

All money raised from these concerts will go directly towards funding the Galway Hospice Home Care, Day Care and Bereavement Support services which depend on the generosity and goodwill of the public to fund.
