ON THEIR 1983 hit ‘Club Tropicana’, the aspirational pop duo Wham! promised “fun and sunshine, there’s enough for everyone”.
Indeed there will be plenty of fun when Soundscape, a Brothers of Charity service, brings its Club Tropicana nightclubs for adults with an intellectual disability to the Black Box Theatre on Wednesday June 19 at 8pm.
The club night will feature performances and artwork by disabled and non-disabled artists and the Soundscape DJs and VJs will fill the club with funky sounds and visuals.
Galway group The Hardcore priests of Yemen will perform a live set with special guest singers. There will be a tropical themed photo booth for a snapshot souvenir, a full bar, a juice bar, and an interactive art installation by Ruby Wallis and Gerald Glynn.
Members of the Brothers of Charity Services Galway are involved in all aspects of production, including composing songs for the stage, creating playlists, and making tropical themed props for decoration.
Tickets are available from the Town Hall on 091 - 569777 and www.tht.ie
