A Fine Gael senator is urging jobseekers and people interested in starting their own business in Galway to register for a talk being given by entrepreneur, Senator Feargal Quinn.
The talk entitled “Mind Your Own Business” is being hosted by Job Creation Initiative Oranmore (JCIO ) and will take place on Friday April at 4.30pm at the Oranmore Lodge Hotel.
Senator Fidelma Healy Eames says Senator Quinn’s talk will provide advice on how to create a strategy for getting a job. He will also assist those who are considering setting up their own business.
“Feargal’s talk will follow on from an earlier workshop of ‘mock’ interviews wherein jobseekers will pitch their case to employers present. Participants will get three minutes to ‘pitch their case’ and will then receive constructive feedback from their interviewers.
“The event follows on from the highly successful open night which Job Creation Initiative Oranmore (JCIO ) hosted in February which was attended by over 90 people. Arising from this 28 participants completed courses provided by JCIO while others opted, according to qualifying criteria, for Momentum job placements.
Senator Quinn has launched a new book called Mind your own business which will be available on the day.
“The JCIO committee is absolutely delighted that he has agreed to do this event for us in Oranmore.” To book a free place at the session email [email protected] Insert “Book me a place to hear Feargal Quinn” in the subject line.
