VIENNA IS one of the great centres of European classical music and opera and home to one of Europe’s finest Christmas markets.
As such it’s highly appropriate that at this time of year a touch of the Austrian capital should come to Galway for a night of music and song in the lead up to Christmas.
A Viennese Christmas takes place at the Town Hall Theatre on Sunday December 21 at 8pm. There are only a few tickets left for this performance. However a matinee will take place at 4pm on Sunday 21 so get your tickets now.
The show will feature the award winning tenor Seán Costello; soprano Celine Byrne, winner of the Maria Callas Grand Prix 2007; Jose Carreras; and internationally acclaimed violinist Vladimir Jablokov; and the Slovak Festival Ensemble.
