RICH HALL, Andrew Maxwell, Phill Jupitus, and Colin Murphy are all confirmed to take part in Set List at the Bulmer’s Galway Comedy Festival, and more names will be announced.
The moment they walk onstage, the comedians are given a word or topic, which may be real or made up - past examples are ‘biscuit holocaust’ or ‘mistake wisdom’ - and from that they have to create a comedy set off the top of their head.
This is comedy without a safety net and calls on all their improvisational and imaginative skills.
Set List is the brainchild of Paul Provenza and Troy Conrad who have run such events in New York and Los Angeles to great public and critical acclaim. Paul and Tony will be in Galway to attend the shows here.
The Irish premiere of Set List takes place in the Róisín Dubh tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday at 11pm. Tickets are €15 and are on sale through www.bulmersgalwaycomedyfestival.com and www.Roisindubh.net, as well as in Xtra-Vision stores, OMG on Shop Street, and most venues.
