From playing the role of Eoin McLove on Father Ted to portraying many hilarious characters on Naked Camera, Patrick McDonnell is no stranger to Irish television screens.
He’s also well used to getting up on stage and regaling audiences with his stand-up routine and it’s in this guise he’s coming to Galway to play The Laughter Lounge in the Róisín Dubh on Wednesday at 9pm.
The Sunday Times has called McDonnell’s stage act “splendidly original and a bit bizarre” and declared the comedian himself to be “the business”. So take a chance to see another side of Patrick McDonnell.
Support on the night is from Gearoid Farrelly, the 2008 winner of the Bulmers ‘Nothin’ Butt Funny’ New Comedy Award. He was also a finalist on Channel 4’s So You Think You're Funny? Sean Sheridan is on the open spot and the guest MC is the brilliant Paddy Courtney.
Coming to The Laughter Lounge in December are PJ Gallagher, Damo Clark, and Hector Ó hEochagain.
Tickets are available from the Róisín Dubh and Zhivago.
