THE 2010 North Beach Poetry Nights Grand Slam takes place this Monday in The Crane Bar at 9pm, with 14 poets set to compete against one another.
The poets will perform and compete in a two-round slam before four judges. The top three winning poems will be published in a poetry chapbook to be launched in 2011.
The guest poet will be Cork’s Billy Ramsell. His debut collection Complicated Pleasures was published by Dedalus Press in 2007. He has been shortlisted for a Hennessy award and a Strong award. Also performing will be the London based musician John Peppard.
