Supermac’s will be a main sponsor for the Connacht Youths and Connacht Junior and Senior Schools Rugby tournaments.
This new sponsorship deal means that Supermac’s will sponsor Connacht underage rugby for the next two seasons.
Supermac’s managing director Pat McDonagh said it was in schools and communities that rugby at grassroots level had a positive impact on young people, helping with many aspects of their development.
“We are proud to become a main sponsor of Connacht Rugby. Over the last number of years we have seen the sport grow from strength to strength, not only on a national scale, but in schools and communities throughout the country. It was fantastic to see the Connacht Senior team enjoy a great victory over Dragons on Saturday, and Supermac’s looks forward to the season ahead.”
Connacht Rugby CEO Gerry Kelly said the province was “embarking on what is looking to be another successful year ahead”.
“During these challenging times it is uplifting to see a business so readily willing to get behind sports teams. The involvement of a wholly Irish business such as Supermac’s with our organisation is most certainly encouraging.”
Supermac’s continues to support Galway hurling and camogie.
