Galway United’s senior women’s team who currently sit atop the Women’s National League table are hoping to break the attendance for a senior women’s game at Eamonn Deacy Park next week.

By being part of the crowd, you can win a host of prizes, including an entire kit for a squad of 25 players at your local club.

The team, coached by Phil Trill are currently top scorers, and top of the Premier Division table, and have invited club members, parents, coaches, volunteers and committees into their game against DLR Waves on Saturday May 4 at 5pm with one goal in mind, — to break the club attendance record for a Women’s League of Ireland game. This can be an end of season celebration for clubs, where they will have an opportunity to win some prizes and meet Terry the Tiger.

60 per cent of Irish people admit they have never attended a live women’s sporting event in this country according to recent research by Lidl, but you can alter that and set a record by availing of the club’s offer to attend this cracking match.

Snap the QR code with this piece for your free tickets to the game — and then go along and support the team that is setting the league alight with their superb performances.

You can get your FREE tickets for adults and kids at https://galwayunitedfc.ie/match-tickets/ (U12’s must be accompanied by an adult )

The club who have the most people in attendance at the game will win an O’Neill’s sponsored kit for a local club (Jerseys, Shorts & Socks ) for one squad of 25 players.

Other prizes include mascot packages, season tickets, match tickets, weekends away, and vouchers from a selection of the clubs sponsors.

This is the last opportunity before the summer for clubs to get into a game and take advantage of the tickets on offer, but to be part of a club record if they can get all clubs to get involved.

The senior women’s players and management teams have been doing club and school visits for the last few months, and these will continue over the coming weeks, please let us know if you wish to get involved in those too. Any queries can be sent to [email protected]
