Flogas announces three-year sponsorship of GIAF

Mirror Pavilion installation powered by green electricity from Flogas

Flogas has announced a three-year energy sponsorship of the Galway International Arts Festival. The company is currently providing green electricity from Irish renewable sources to power the Mirror Pavilion installation.

The seven-metre-high structure, by Irish artist John Gerrard, located on Claddagh Quay until September 26, uses highly reflective mirrors and high-resolution LED technology, powered by Flogas Energy.

The company provides natural gas, electricity, and Liquefied petroleum gas, to c150,000 residential and commercial customers in Ireland. Flogas launched a carbon offsetting solution for commercial customers earlier this year, allowing it to offset 100 per cent of its carbon emissions by investing in gold standard climate protection projects.

"The Mirror Pavilion is a wonderful centerpiece and we are very proud to be providing the energy to power such a unique and stunning installation that is free to the public to view and experience for themselves.”
