A local café group has recently become an accredited member of the coveted Business All Stars for 2020.
PoppySeed Gourmet Cafes has joined an illustrious list of businesses which have been recognised nationally for their high-quality service to the public.
PoppySeed has cafes in three locations — Oranmore, Clarinbridge, and Galway Crystal, Merlin Park.
The All-Ireland Business Foundation is the national body responsible for identifying and accrediting best-in-class Irish businesses.
All-Star accredited companies are progressive indigenous Irish businesses that meet the highest standards of verified performance, trust, and customer centricity. PoppySeed has met and exceeded these targets throughout the year with excellent service and feedback from the public.
Dr Briga Hynes, chairperson of the adjudication panel, said the accreditation is a great standard for small and medium sized businesses to measure themselves.
"We evaluate a company’s background, trustworthiness, and performance, and we speak to customers, employees, and vendors,” she said. “We also anonymously approach the company as a customer and report back on the experience."
Anne Forde, owner of PoppySeed, was delighted to pick up this award on behalf of her team.
"We are delighted to receive the Business All-Stars accreditation; it is motivating and positive support as we head into our 14th year," she said. "We are sincerely grateful to our amazing teams across all sites for their application and effort in building the business and actions which reflect our passion and celebration for hospitality.
"We are indebted to our amazing customers who visit us, support us, and journey with us. We look forward to the next steps as we embrace the new normal and the next steps of the PoppySeed adventure."
PoppySeed Gourmet Cafes are open at all locations from 9am to 5pm throughout the week. Opening time on Sunday is slightly later at 10am. You can find more information by visiting poppyseed.ie or by following PoppySeed on Facebook and Instagram.
