Galway Autism Partnership hosts Infinity Ball this weekend

City to host the Ireland's first autism-friendly ball

Galway will play host to Ireland's first autism-friendly ball this Saturday in the Ardilaun Hotel. This event is organised by Galway Autism Partnership, with proceeds from the night going to the locally based charity.

Entitled the Infinity Ball, the event begins at 7pm with a drinks reception featuring the Galway Sings Project, followed by a three-course meal, raffle, and music from More Cowbell and DJ Philip Coyle. There will also be an autism friendly quiet room available for anyone who needs it, along with other measures taken to make the event more accessible.

The theme of the ball is ‘Come as Your Best Self’. “There is no pressure on anyone to buy a ball gown or rent a tux,” said GAP coordinator Aisling Colreavy. “Wear your favourite party dress or suit – we trust everyone to wear whatever makes them feel fabulous. It’s important to our members that everyone is comfortable and accepted just as they are.’’

Galway Autism Partnership supports autistic people and families across Galway city and county. It receives no multi-annual state funding.

Tickets are €60 per person or €550 for a table of 10. For more information and tickets see www.galwayautismpartnership.com/ball or contact Aisling on 091-588899 or [email protected].
