Galway will be represented at the weekend's All-Ireland Handball 60x30 doubles finals in two age categories.
Taking place in Crinkle, Co Offaly, the U21 final sees Diarmuid Mulkerrins and Micheál Breathnachs' Cian Ó Conghaille up against Kilkenny's Dylan Caulfield and Padraig Cooney in Mullingar on Sunday at 12 noon.
Moycullen's Mulkerrins is familiar with Dylan Caulfield, having beaten him in the 60x30 singles All-Ireland final, and the Galway pair, having lost last year’s All-Ireland 60x30 minor final, will be hoping to put that defeat right on Sunday.
In Mullingar, Westmeath, also at 12 noon, Willie Corcoran and Mike Shaughnessy of Salthill will come up against Wexford's Nicky Casey and Jimmy Mythen in the Emerald Masters B doubles.
After receiving a bye in their semi-final, Corcoran and Shaughnessy face a tough task against the Wexford pair of Nicky Casey and Jimmy Mythen. Corcoran lost the 60x30 All-Ireland Emerald Masters B singles final to Wexford’s Stephen Murphy three weeks ago.
Elsewhere Galway's Mikey Kelly won a second level colleges' title in the 60x30 All Ireland Colleges Championships.
Representing Clarin College, Kelly continued his rich vein of form, having won the All-Ireland 60x30 singles title last week. He has won All-Ireland 40x20, One Wall, 60x30 and 60x30 now a second level college crown this year.
Sadhbh Ni Fhlaithearta lost her All-Ireland final one week after winning her 60x30 All-Ireland title. Shonagh Mitchell and Siofra Cooney lost their All-Ireland Junior doubles final also.
