Millionaire businessman to make DVD to attract new business

Local businessman Stuart Pearson from Graiguenamanagh has come up with a novel idea in his bid to attract business to locate in the Carlow/Kilkenny region.

Speaking to the Kilkenny Advertiser he said that his idea is to encourage entrepreneurs and business people to open businesses in the Carlow/Kilkenny area and he believes that shooting of a DVD which would be played at business conferences might be a positive approach.

“As a Carlow/ Kilkenny-based businessman, I have been trying to think of ways in which I might do something positive for the community in these bleak times. While I support all charities in the areas, I was trying to find a different approach that might benefit the communities. Hence came the idea of creating and sponsoring a DVD that would be played in conference venues and hotels throughout the world. I felt that it would be something that would catch people’s attention and it would be a relatively easy way of encouraging new business setups in the area.

Mr Pearson’s plan is to feature strong local companies, for example Glanbia and Tax Back, along with local shops which all play a vital role in assuring revenue turnover in the community.

It is planned that filming of the DVD will commence on Monday, April 20 in the area. Anyone interested in becoming involved is welcome to contact either the Chamber or Mr Pearson.

Mr Pearson is a multi-millionaire as a result of a property business owned by him. He is based in Graiguenamanagh in county Kilkenny. He has a great interest in the local community and is a supporter of many local charities in Carlow and Kilkenny.

The DVD will be launched in Kilkenny in the future.
