Heart screening comes to Athlone

At long last there is a heart screening device that is non-invasive and has EU, FDA, CE, and MDD approval. The BPro device will detect the condition of your arteries, ie if you have hardening of the arteries; your blood pressure; your circulation; and your overall cardiovascular health. Being able to measure the blood pressure in the aorta which is closer to the heart and brain is important because this is where high blood pressure can cause damage.

The beauty of this system is that it is totally non-invasive and it only takes approximately 30 minutes. Professor Bryan Williams MD, FRCP, FAHA, Professor of Medicine at the University of Leicester School of Medicine in the UK, tested 2,000 patients with this BPro device and the same 2,000 patients with an angiogram, and the results were staggering. The final reading regarding accuracy was 99.17 per cent.

Unfortunately monitoring of the heart is normally only instituted when a patient is already in hospital or has a heart condition. Heart conditions are preventable and can be effectively treated if monitoring is available to everybody at affordable prices. At €50 per test, a full explanation of your results will be given to you and you will receive a printout when you leave.

This new innovative technology is coming to the Athlone Springs Hotel on Friday October 11, Monday October 14, Wednesday October 16, and Friday October 18 from 11am until 8pm each day. Information is also available which will be of particular interest to diabetics.
