The wait is over, Helium festival and fundraiser is finally here!
With acts such as The Stunning, Mick Flannery, Fight Like Apes, Wallis Bird, Hermitage Green, KILA, O Emperor, Kopek, David Kitt, and Mark Geary - it’s quality wall - to wall.
The music loving masses are set to arrive in Ballymahon this Saturday June 8. The buzz is building for the day long music event which is only a day away and will see an amazing line up of artists performing across three stages from 2pm until late!
The one day boutique music festival will also see Windings, The Ambience Affair, Liza Flume, Amazing Apples, Shannon & The Shortcuts, Drew de Four, and Felix Sonnyboy Wilson performing among a number of other acts.
Helium punters with the festival smartphone app will be updated throughout the day with push notifications as each headliner band starts on the main stage - and that’s not all - as is tradition with Helium, the volunteers always come up with something else quirky and original to enhance the festival experience.
Festival goers are advised to keep their eyes peeled when they arrive at the venue for the latest addition to the Helium venue skyline! Also, as it’s Helium’s fifth birthday there are a number of surprises planned throughout the day and night.
With numerous of healthy activities on offer in addition to the music - including this year’s feature associated event the Helium 5 and10K Challenge - getting up and getting active has never been so enjoyable in Ballymahon before! The fun run is an initiative by the Ballymahon Traders Association in conjunction with Helium and is set to take place this Saturday morning (Helium Day ) starting at 11am from the Ballymahon GAA pitch. Everyone and anyone is encouraged to get their trainers on and get out and get healthy on the morning of Helium Fundraiser day!
Further to all of that athletic excitement, there will be free arts activities on site at the Helium Festival venue on offer to the punters as well so with the free camping, parking, and food alongside, it’s no surprise that there’s a heightened interest in this year’s festival. The fact that it’s all for a great cause, really makes Helium the feel good ticket of the summer. Music lovers are in for an all-round treat at this boutique extravaganza of quality music.
